About This Cigar

Arturo Fuente Cigars was founded in 1912 by Arturo Fuente, a Cuban immigrant to Florida, and is one of the most storied cigar manufacturers active today. The brand has grown from a small family operation to one of the largest premium cigar manufacturers in the world, being passed down through the generations of Fuentes for over a hundred years. Their cigars are widely regarded as some of the best on the market, with a strict standard of quality control and aging that ensures every blend is consistent.

The Brevas is a line of premium short-filler cigars from the company, utilizing the same high-quality filler tobacco from the Dominican Republic than can be found in other blends from the brand, as well as a Dominican binder. Despite being a short-filler cigar, these must still pass through the same stringent quality control checks as any other cigar produced by the Fuentes. The series comes in both Natural and Maduro wrapper varieties, with this Natural iteration utilizing a Cameroon wrapper.

The stick itself is decent. Construction/draw was more than solid, it burned evenly at a good rate. It's a balanced cigar but has definite notes of spice, some smooth woodiness, and toasted nuts. It's not a complex development of flavors BUT it is a lot more enjoyable than most at this price. Would never turn one down but I'll stock up on the Maduro for my own collection...Read More

For the price, they can’t be beat. It’s worth having a box in your humidor because they do get better after months of rest. They are mild-medium with a good burn and smoke output. They’re fairly consistent—the draw may be tighter on some, but not unsmokeable. The flavor of the Cameroon wrapper is nice, and the cigars are well balanced with no harshness. It’s fun to come back to these after smoking an expensive, highly rated/advertised stick because many times, these are better. I had an awful experience with this. Wasn't expecting a flavorful one considering the prices. I lit this cigar, I expect a pure or creamy light puff. But no, this one taste like ancient medicine you would find in Indian spices store. It's a unpleasant medicine taste. Throw away quickly, then picked up and hand ripped in half. It was all scatters and crashed leaves.
