I Thought This Was a Dud
To me it tasted like the most bland English I ever had. I was so disappointed because of the raving reviews. So I jarred it, left it, revisited it 6 months later and I'm so glad I did. If this blend does nothing for you fresh, jar it up and try it with some months to it. You might end up liking it a whole lot.

G. L. Pease - Samarra 2oz
Underrated
Easy to smoke, lots of flavor, no tobacco overpowering one another. No wonder why this blend is 25 years strong and going. Flavor lasts to the bottom of the bowl without muddying up into a mess. Get a tin for now and then some for later.

G. L. Pease - Abingdon 2oz
As advertised
Its a well balanced FULL balkan as advertised. Its not an overly complex blend that demands attention on every puff. Its what it says it is. A comfortably smokable full balkan and sometimes that's just what a pipe smoker wants. I enjoy Gawith's Commonwealth a lot and unsurprisingly Mr. Pease's Abingdon blend.

Satisfying
Windjammer had me chasing embers through the dottle. Delicious fresh out of a recently pressed tin, can't wait to see how it smokes after being jarred. Plenty of Vitamin N as well.

Perfect for me
I enjoy Balkans and English blends the most. With thay said, I am not the biggest fan of sweet notes. This blend offers tanginess, earthiness, and savory flavors with just enough latakia to add its merit to the blend. Maduro cigar smokers might enjoy this blend a lot in my opinion. More of a broken flake than a ribbon cut, but in my experience this enhanced the smoking experience. This is my favorite GLP blend so far.

See For Yourself
See for yourself why this is one of GLP's best sellers. It packs flavor and is so smooth smoking. Flakes were ready to smoke after a quick rub and dry. Smoky with just a hint of sweetness. Leaves a pleasant aftertaste. Its delicious and I look forward to see how it smokes throughout the days ahead being jarred.

Samuel Gawith - Squadron Leader 50g
All Day English
It's easy to smoke, consistent, and clean. A perfectly balanced blend that you can just puff away without much thought or sit and ponder with. Its simple enough to be approachable for any situation. Needs drying out of the tin. Smokable when very dry as well, rehydrates with ease while retaining its flavors. A great tin to have on hand at all times.

Balkan Sasieni - Balkan Sasieni 50g
Smoky Balkan
The blend is smoky and its sweet. Sweetness subsides as the bowl progresses and the smokiness takes full control. Not an overtly complex smoke, but not a bad one either. This is a great blend for a beginner pipe smoker because it delivers a lot of its flavor and burns acceptably well with a little drying. I've purchased many tins of this blend and find it a little too damp to smoke out of the tin immediately, which is not a negative trait by any means.

Oriental forward English. Sweet and sour in all the right ways. Stays lit, comes ready to smoke, no drying required. A must smoke for all English fans.

G. L. Pease - JackKnife Plug 2oz
Cool and Smooth
Its a plug that has flavor, depth, versatility and smoothness. Burns nice and cool and without too much fuss as long as its dried first. If this is your first dark-fired kentucky blend, observe as the taste grows on you from bowl to bowl.
