This Pickaxe from the Italian artisan is an exceptionally crisp take on the classic shape. The bowl's walls rise with a steady flare from the narrow, dramatically pointy heel to the oblong, inward-sloping rim. A low-set transition introduces a lengthy, arrow-straight shank out back, which is joined by a stylized saddle stem and decorated with a band of deer horn. The pale hue of the horn stands out strikingly against the stummel's inky sandblast, which reveals the briar's dense grain in striking detail.
