Replacement Stems - Peterson Semi-Bent System P-Lip Stem
Seems fine,
I knew it would fit my system 304 umpaul, due to a previous reviewer. I got the semi bend for a change up. I bought it hoping a little metal stinger i have would fit. It doesn't the stinger is prob 3mm or less and the stem is 4. I broke the nipple off the original stem while drilling it out for a filter. The 6mm filters dr,grabow work great I just have to cut them in half they are to long for the modification. 6mm charcoal filters fit also but with that heavy pitch coal is at one end and hard to draw. I never cut my filters except for this instance. If you want to drill out a stem to fit a filter hold very firm and go very slow the twist drill pulls into the stem. I can probably drill my original to a 9mm but I'll leave well enough alone for now. I'm going to measure the nipple diamiter and see if I can find a stinger for it. If I had a mini lathe I'd make one.

Filters & Adaptors - Medico Filters
Cheaply done. Garbow are Cadillac comparatively.
Very flimsy hard to get into a mm without distorting them. Barely any amount of rolled paper. Flimsy knock off of a good 6mm filter.

Straight after a couple puffs I got a bad secondary smell of chemical or plastic like. Once i cut it w some generic big bag tobacco it was great. I'd say 2/3 pistachio to 1/3 generic Virginia Burley. I think if you're not sensitive to that smell you can handle straight.

Acquired can be best.
My 1st thought was. I wish I tried a diferent English, im fairly new to pipe smoking and newer to diferent tobacco. Once i got past the 1st reaction. I love it. I usually want atleast one a day. I'm using small bowls because that's usually enough for me, let's me try more mixes and, now I can tell the nicotine difference, I have a Virginia burly which I only need a few puffs if that's what im looking for. Im so eager to learn more but I don't want to have 10 15 bags w two bowls in them. Short answer. Id miss this one if I didn't have it. Where other's I've tried aren't that unique.
