LOVE IT!
Many think that perique is too strong to smoke straight. I dissagree, just take it easy and enjoy or smoke in a shallow pipe, I like the strength and the flavor

The Shit!
I usually like the tobacco types by themselves, not a lot of brands tend to sell them like that, and this is one of my favorite types, the darker flue cured is another but it lacks in nicotine strength, but not this, it is really strong which is how I like it. and it's really good quality. If you haven't tried this yet, it is strong.

This has a crazy high nicotine level, Do not inhale! I"m going to use a shallower bowl for this . I like the taste better than latakia, it doesn't have the strong smoky aftertaste latakia has, but its a good smoke, I might try blending it.

This looks like something out of a Tim Burton movie (Beatle Juice, LOL) which is why I like it and it smokes just like a $100+ pipe. I sometimes go to fantasy themed costume events and this would be perfect for some of what I have. Awesome pipe

Bad batch or wrong product
I’ve ordered this before from here and it was the best but, I ordered again and got an entirely different product, it’s not the same, it’s smells different and no flavor, just tongue bite. They need to check before bagging the bulk, this one is clearly not the same product

This doesn’t smell or taste like bright. No flavor just tongue bite

Really good blend
I don't know where all the negative ratings are about, this is an awesome blend I'm going to order more. Other brands I've tried have this artificial chemical after taste as well as an extreme bite, not this one. Perfect!

This is the best bright I've ever smoked! There's something to be said about the UK's strict purity laws, if something this good comes out of it, I'm all for it

Changed my mind
I posted a bad review at first, This isn't bad once you let it dry out some. The smell of fertilizer go's away once dry, smells more like a camp fire now which I kind of like, this might even be good for blending, I will try that too.

Common Tobacco Pipe Materials: Briar, Meerschaum, and More
  • ► Love the article but I am a carpenter and I know woods. Olive wood isn't soft and it is harder than briar, briar has a hardness of 2090 lbf, Olive wood has a hardness of 2710 lbf. Olive wood also has stronger MOR and crushing strenght as well. Briar is just more heat resisteant.
