About This Pipe Tobacco

Blended in Germany by Kohlhase & Kopp, Caribbean Blue introduces six unique Danish-style Aromatic pipe tobacco mixtures inspired by the flavors and aromas of the tropics, and fittingly named after iconic pirates and privateers. Packaged in 50g tins, complete with eye-catching, nautically themed artwork, each blend enhances the finest tobacco grades with delicate casings and top notes reminiscent of the Caribbean islands. Available here, Graham showcases Burley, Cube-cut Virginia, and Cavendish imbued with exotic flavors of coconut, cane sugar, blackberry, and nuts.

Excellent tin note, with the Blackberry taking the lead. The coconut is vaguely similar to the Chacom #3 blend. For me, the Virginias were front and center which was a disapointment. It burned hot and the last half of the bowl lost all flavor. I would have prefered a more Burley forward blend with additional Black Cavendish. Not likely to buy again....Read More

So this blend is heavier on the nut note, and on my palate, overpowers the subtle fruit notes, though they're sweetness is still present. However the aroma is every bit of strong as the tin. It's a decent smoke but if you want to try one of the Caribbean Blue, get the Drake.

I guess I have more adoration for this tobacco then some. Not a huge aromatic smoker, frankly the other way mostly, but the tin note and taste of this tobacco is off the charts. I agree with the coconut profile note, which is slightly fore front with the blackberry and cane sugar notes competing closely. One of the few aromatics that actually tastes like it smells, and maintains that through the entirety of the bowl. This is my second tin, and both have had absolute perfect moisture. I have now tried all 6 of these Caribbean Blue blends. This one is fruity and a bit smokey and nutty and creamy and on and on and on So much going on in this blend it's a bit overwhelming and chaotic.
