About This Pipe
Since the age of 15, Wojtek Pastuch has had a deep passion and love for pipes. His passion eventually manifested in repairing pipes to expand his personal rotation, but before long, he was making pipes from scratch. He received instruction early on from Tom Eltang, traveling to the Danish artisan's workshop to learn the various nuances of shaping, engineering, and finishing. Pastuch is now a carver of significant renown, his work admired all around the world.
This Billiard is a striking example of Pastuch's craftsmanship. It features a tall, upright bowl that tapers ever-so-slightly from its heel to its rim. The slender, arrow-straight shank-and-stem arrangement provides balance to the bowl and keeps the overall form sleek and streamlined in profile. It's an exceptionally lightweight design that conforms naturally to the hand, the bowl's softly contoured walls perfectly accommodating wrapping fingers. A crisp tanblast dresses the stummel and draws out handsome waves of growth rings across the flanks of the bowl, while an accent of horn adorns the junction and adds a creamy softness to the overall composition.
