Smooth Deco Poker Tobacco Pipe

More often than not, the work of Werner Mummert displays something of an abstract aesthetic, with pieces that hearken back to the Cubist, Abstract Expressionist, and Dada movements. The results are usually quite playful, with a fantastical style that just seems a bit otherworldly. That being said, this Deco Poker, with its undulating rim and intricately swirled, multi-colored finish, seems to call to mind the look of natural agate. Paired to an arrow-straight arrangement out back, this whimsical fellow is still a firm sitter, stabilized with the rounded shank and saddle-stem parallel to the sitting surface. A neat piece indeed.
