About This Pipe
Scottie Piersel's pencil-shanked numbers seem to be her bread-and-butter, and her firm-heeled Bing's Billiard shape represents the epitome of her slender-bodied shaping prowess, to my eye. The gently chamfered rim sports just the lightest hint of natural texture, achieved by way of a very, very light dusting in the blasting cabinet, or possibly through the choice to forego an additional polish here. It serves to emphasize the warm sandblasted composition's affably organic style, complemented by a broad band of sterling silver and olive and mustard colored brindle-patterned vulcanite at the stem. Said stem is joined by way of a stainless steel reverse tenon arrangement, and altogether, it makes for quite a refined presentation.
