About This Pipe
Boasting a bold, muscular heel and a high-reaching shank and stem combination, this bent Billiard from the Radices is a striking piece. The transition is tight, thanks to the shank's rapid ascension toward the stem, its lift paired with a subtle taper that the stem readily continues. With a junction set nearly level with the rim, the shank is long compared to many other bent Billiards, and the stem, too, showcases a fairly extended length; something it makes use of to develop a gradual, comfortable downturn to the button. The impressive curvature cultivated through the aft side serves to balance some of the stout stature embodied by the bowl, whose walls reach upward directly from the heel, forming a cylindrical tower two inches tall. With plenty of space in the chamber for leisurely smoking and ample insulation for that chamber, this pipe is dressed in the craggy rustication of the Rind series, its stain revealing vibrant peaks and dark valleys.
