About This Pipe
In the 1960s and 70s, Luigi Radice worked at two of the most acclaimed Italian marques, Castello and Caminetto. After cementing himself as one of Italy's best pipe makers, he began to craft pipes with his sons under the family name. This Billiard by Radice possesses a tall, muscular bowl, its walls tapering from a broad heel to the tidy rim. Furthermore, the rim is dressed in a chestnut smooth finish, while the briar just below it features an identical stain and a craggy texture reminiscent of Radice's Underwood carving. The rest of the stummel is dressed in the dark hues of the Rind rustication, which lends tactile definition to the briar.
