Smooth Ramses (Diamond) Tobacco Pipe

It's been several years since last we saw a rendition of Bo Nordh's Ramses shape from Peter Heding, despite seeing a number of Ramses-like forms in the interim. I'd say the wait was worth it though, as this Diamond-grade fellow is utterly astounding. Essentially an artful, sculpted take on the Oom Paul, this fellow makes use of its elegant form to showcase a grain pattern as tight and well-defined as you're likely to see rendered in briar. From the curling, flattened region at the aft, a bulbous bowl seems to sprout from the shape itself, resulting in broad flanks for displaying licks of cross-grain at the left and right. And as for the birdseye, there's no shortage of it, practically covering the entirety of the fore, and literally covering the entirety of the underside. Stunning work, and well worth its heralded Diamond grade.
