About This Pipe
A trim sort of Blowfish, this piece is more symmetrical than we would expect from, for example, the Japanese tradition, though in following the lines of the grain it does have a slight tilt to its form. Finished in a smokey, dark contrast stain, none of that grain goes to waste, and it's been topped with five knuckles of thin, pale bamboo as shank extension — offering a lighter contrast to its palette, as well as a lithe gesture in profile, its length belying the compact nature of the bowl itself. Recommended.
