Sandblasted Bent Egg Tobacco Pipe

Though slightly more compact than some of the other shapes featured in this batch of briars from Hans "Former" Nielsen, this bent Egg does possess quite a bit of substance, particularly in hand. That is, of course, to be expected though, as Former really does excel, in my opinion, in crafting these fully rounded numbers — and doing so with an impressive bit of dynamism. That is to say, there's nothing weighed-down about this piece. From the graceful, flowing curves to the crisp, sweeping lines, motion seems constant, as the eye is gently led from point to point and back again. And then there's the finish: Former's signature blast, which somehow manages to unearth such character from any given block all while maintaining the clean, well-defined lines of the form.
