About This Pipe

After more than 45 years of devotion to his craft, Tom Eltang's influence on Danish pipe making culture, and the worldwide industry for that matter, are indisputable, and many newer pipe makers draw influence from his work. His pipes are immediately recognizable as his own, evidenced here by a lithe straight Billiard design with a tapering, slightly rounded bowl, cheeking at the transition, and an arrow-straight shank and stem.

Feather light in hand and promising a delightful clench, this perfectly-proportioned beauty is dressed in an dark sandblast with a warm, smooth finish at the rim for contrast. Speaking of contrast, Tom has added a unique touch: a gleaming accent of brass at the shank end, not a material we often see on his pipes. The effect is one of warm elegance, neatly dividing the handsome stummel from a sleekly tapered, hand-cut vulcanite stem. This pipe reveals it's crafted to be a lifelong companion, a pipe you can't stop looking at and reach for over and over again.
