About This Pipe
A small and elegant sitter, this Popeye Poker from Tom Eltang displays stunning vertical grain all around the bowl and elegant birdseye on the rim and heel. There's a perception of forward movement with this pipe, as the far side of the bowl is subtly curved and the near side almost subliminally curved to match. It weighs nothing. Well, it must weigh something, but it's inconsequential. the rim is domed and then chamfered on the inside circumference, providing neat detail and the opportunity to fill it with just a little more tobacco. The straight, pencil shank seems to protrude from the bowl with a transition that is crisp. I can't imagine this pipe will be on the web site for very long.
