Sandblasted Cobra with Morta Tobacco Pipe

Dirk Heinemann's impeccable shaping and dynamic line work are on full display with this Cobra design. Measuring just over four inches in total length, this piece is quite compact, making it perfect for on-the-go smoking. It features the form's characteristic ridgeline, which here runs the length of the shank and wrap around the bowl's fore. Said ridgeline adds a rigid structure to the overall form and accentuates the shape's dynamic posture by visually emphasizing the bowl's raised heel. The lifted heel thrusts the bowl into visual prominence, raising the bowl's fore wall dramatically upward and sloping the rim so that it feeds into the transition. The shank flares from the aforementioned transition into a thick accent of morta and a demurely curved saddle stem of jet-black vulcanite. A ruby-hued sandblast dresses the stummel and coaxes out rippling waves of grain that add a scale-like texture to the briar, reflecting the skin of an actual cobra.
