About This Pipe

Talented Greek artisan Chris Asteriou began crafting pipes in 2007, drawing on his background in industrial design and architecture. Asteriou's designs draw from a range of influences, from classic Anglo-French traditions to the unique Freehands of Danish pipe making. However, it's his clean line work, keen eye for proportions, and flawless engineering that make his work distinctly his own. The Nefertiti shape, originally developed by the renowned Sixten Ivarsson, is a variation of the classic Dublin shape that features an Acorn-like heel. This rendition by Chris Asteriou stays true to Ivarsson's original design and adds a unique twist: a dark-hued horn ferrule at the junction. Completing the design is a tapering, vulcanite stem with a stylized expansion ring at its base that matches the rhythm of the shank. An ebony sandblasted finish covers the entire stummel, save for the smooth rim, which wears a chestnut stain that adds a touch of warmth to the otherwise muted color palette.
