In the late 1960s, two Castello pipe makers, Giuseppe Ascorti and Luigi Radice, left to found their own workshop, Caminetto. Their skilled craftsmanship grew Caminetto into one of the most popular marques of the 1970s and beyond. Graceful and dynamic, this bent Dublin from Caminetto sees a forward-urging bowl posed at the fore, with thick walls flaring from the sharp heel toward the flat rim. A lifting shank pairs to the bowl and joins to a downturned stem, with the arrangement's continuous taper shifting the composition's visual weight toward the front. Dressed in a smooth, auburn finish, the stummel highlights lively vertical grain across both flanks, with flecks of birdseye circling the rim, accentuated by a speck of plateau that adds a subtle organic disposition to the design.
