About This Pipe
While many of Benni Jorgensen's designs imply a certain sense of lively gesture, this one goes beyond the call, producing an S-curve so fluid and lithe that it comes off serpentine in profile. Indeed, from the saddle shaped rim and exaggerated lift of the heel, to the pronounced sweep of the transition and significant upward arc to the shank, it calls to mind the look of a cobra poised to strike. Fitting to its dynamic, aggressive style, Benni's finished this gorgeous piece in a rich tan and red walnut contrast stain, highlighting a dramatic display of flame grain from head to toe. Beautiful work from Benni.
