About This Pipe
The forward-canted, concave sweep of the rim, the low-set, broad waistline, the heavily pinched oval shank, the smooth, continuous, arcing line defining the underside, even the smooth, tapered step of the abbreviated saddle stem... all these elements come together to create an extremely iconic form from Benni Jorgensen: the Brandy. His variations of this classic shape have been some of his most celebrated and sought-after designs, and this piece is certainly no exception to that trend. It's finished in a tight-knit, dark-walnut sandblast, unveiling layer after undulating layer of rippling rings climbing up the bowl — making for an impressive piece from fit to finish.
