Partially Sandblasted Horn (1055) Tobacco Pipe

It's been four years since we last received an example of this Horn design from Jeff; deep in the flanks, elongated in the cross-section of the bowl, and undulating with a wave-like motion at the rim. There are, as you would expect, some differences between this rendition and the last, most notably a more subdued execution of the rim's undulation (the previous example had such a crisp and high-profile rear-edge peak, that it was as much flame-like as it was wave-like), and a continuous curve of bowl, transition, and shank, in place of the older version's curve of bowl and transition leading into a (largely) straight shank. While the previous Horn was a smooth-finished Wave-grade, and had the perfect grain to back that up, to my eye this is the more perfected shape; more continuous in line and gesture, more naturally balanced in profile.
