Giacomo Penzo studied Industrial Design, and that education pays off in shapes like this Horn. The precise linework gives it a sleek, supple profile, the transition utterly indistinguishable between bowl and shank, while a subtle S-curve can still be viewed in profile. Pair that to his eye for palette, pairing the smoke-on-water pattern of olivewood with a subtly-patterned cumberland stem, as well as the understated texture of a crisp sandblast, and the image of a well-rounded pipemaker whose skills have been honed over time emerges.
