Smooth Apple with Boxwood Tobacco Pipe

Calling to mind those stouter, Danish neo-classical numbers fashioned by the likes of S. Bang, this very stout smoker from Giacomo Penzo is a plump, squat number, wide of chamber and a sure sitter to boot. A warm walnut stain accentuates some tight flame on all flanks, juxtaposed with a hearty mount of warm, lighter-hued boxwood, resulting in something of a pastoral aesthetic. Rounding things off, an arrow-straight saddle stem plays with a bit of negative space, lending the composition a firm sense of visual balance. An excellent piece from Giacomo.
