Sandblasted Tipsy Dublin (322) Tobacco Pipe

Take the forward-pouring roll of rim used in some Pitcher shapes, then combine it with a playfully wandering asymmetry that runs (or meanders) from bit to leading edge: that, in short, seems to be the basis of this Tipsy Dublin. God and/or the Devil (the latter some claim to be only the former when He's drunk) is of course in the details, as they say. Well, as far as detail of design goes, I say Bill really did a fine job: there's a lot wandering going on here, in form and line both, yet Shalosky manages to keep it all going without a hitch (or hiccup). This shape may not know where it's going (or where it's been) yet go it does with an easy sense of flow. As for the finish, again, great detail from Bill, who definitely knows his way around a blasting cabinet.
