About This Pipe
The late Preben Holm left a lasting mark on the Danish pipe-making world as a pioneer of the Fancy Freehand style. His portfolio consisted of a myriad of bold, creative shapes, and this Freehand is an excellent example of his work. The dynamic, Blowfish-esque bowl is joined by flaring, equally dynamic shank that's underscored by undulating ridgelines. The shank face is kissed by craggy plateau, and it's joined by a stylized stem of vulcanite. Craggy texture also adorns the bowl's rim, adding another pop of textural and tonal contrast amidst the otherwise smooth, vibrant auburn finish.
