Named and blended for Smokingpipes' brick-and-mortar store Low Country Pipe and Cigar in Little River, South Carolina, Low Country pipe tobaccos are all crafted by Cornell & Diehl — also located in South Carolina. They're blended to be classic, easy-smoking mixtures, honoring South Carolina's historic Lowcountry and named for some of the region's iconic rivers.

Beginning in central South Carolina, the Santee River was named after the local Native American tribe and enters the Atlantic Ocean roughly halfway between Myrtle Beach and Charleston. Stretching 143 miles, it's the second largest river on the east coast in overall drainage and flow and provides essential draining and navigation for the state's central coastal plain. As a pipe tobacco, Santee is a Virginia-based Aromatic that captures the languid lifestyle that was synonymous with the Low Country region. Subtly fruity, with hints of apple, it's the perfect accompaniment to a sultry summer night.
