About This Cigar

Established in 1912 by its eponymous founder, the Arturo Fuente brand is continued today by Fuente's grandson Carlos "Carlito" Fuente Jr, and the Hemingway series pays homage to Arturo's skill in hand-rolling Perfecto cigars throughout the 1920s, '30s, and '40s. The Perfecto is a difficult vitola to make, requiring a skillful hand and necessitating a distinctive profile. As the decades progressed, the cigar size became rarer and rarer, so in the '80s, Carlito revitalized the artful craft of hand-rolling Perfectos, creating the Hemingway line which features Perfectos of different sizes. Moreover, Carlito used the Hemingway series to add a more non-traditional blend to Arturo Fuente's portfolio, featuring a Cameroonian wrapper supported by a binder and fillers of the tabacalera's prestigious Dominican tobaccos.

It's small but it packs a punch, great stogie to have around for a nice occasion, but you don't have the time to enjoy something bigger.

For what this is, a small, beautifully crafted cigar that has a beautiful draw and flavor, you can’t ask for more. Try a V cut on this, you won’t regret it.
Nutty

Really tasty cigar. I got notes of leather and nuts. The nuttiness really stood out for me. Tasted of almonds or at times cashew. Mildly sweet. No pepper or spice for me but others have said so. A couple of cons though. I think this is a bit too short. Was hard to smoke because it was so short. I'll try a signature or classic next as they are a bit longer. Another con was the burn. I had to correct mine a couple of times as it burned uneven. Haven't smoked enough of them to know if this is characteristic of this particular format or if mine was just a one off. Overall a very tasty and mild cigar. Good for new cigar smokers and those coming from pipes. Highly recommend despite the few cons....Read More

Perfect construction and draw. A dense cigar with beautiful Cameron wrapper. I would divide the taste of this cigar into two parts: cedar and light wood during the first half and second half with nutty taste dominant. The end of the smoke is smooth and creamy. Mild to medium taste and strength. The aftertaste is pleasant and light. Perfect burn from the start to the end. It took 55 minutes to finish. Solid 4 stars....Read More
