Xikar's Pipeline Soft-Flame lighter combines luxurious styling with dependable function. The durable, stainless steel body houses a simple, replaceable flint ignition system, protected by a retro-styled hinged flame cover. It also features a flame adjustment wheel to customize the angled flame's size as desired. While this Pipeline lighter is primarily designed for pipe smokers, it's also ideal for cigar smokers who prefer using soft-flame lighters. Furthermore, a removable, stainless steel tamper and scraper is housed in the base of the lighter. And as with all Xikar products, it comes with a "bumper to bumper" lifetime guarantee.

I would have to agree with the other reviewers here. I love smokingpipes and purchased this lighter for my brother who is a brand-new pipe smoker. He informed me that the third time he struck the lighter the flint and spring "exploded" and he was unable to find either and was put off from this wonderful hobby. Absolute Junk & Money Pit!

These are supposed to be quality, made in the USA lighters with a lifetime warranty. For $60 bucks, they should be. I've had flea market, mass produced in China lighters that are better made and more reliable! The first one I received had a broken flint post right out of the box. It was loose and practically falling out from the top of the lighter. I navigated their pain in the ass online portal return process, of which you have to pay to ship it to them, waited weeks, and finally got my replacement. Within the week, the flint wheel is seizing up (including while empty and without flint!!), the fuel gauge is unreliable, (with the same setting, you may have a baby flame you can barely keep lit, or torch your eyebrows off), the casing feels like it's loose, as if the insides are moving around, and it's impossible to tell the fuel level either in use or while filling. I have followed all the instructions. I purge between refills after closing the fuel gauge. I use quality flints and butane (both Zippo), all to no avail. Sure, it's a lifetime warranty, but I have a feeling that eventually, I would have to pay to send this P.O.S. lighter back so many times that it would cost more than the price of the lighter. received on 2/25/21 lighter doesn"t work leaks butane called Xikar and the women on the phone refused to give me a authorization number to return it for repair or replacement.I will never buy another Xikar product again
