Ernesto Perez-Carrillo Jr. continues the Carrillo family's Cuban cigar-making legacy, following in the footsteps of his father, who established a Cuban cigar factory in 1948 before later moving to Miami. Released in 2024, the brand's Sumatra cigar marks the start of Casa Carrillo's Essence Series, a series that will come to encompass six distinct blends, all contained within elegant, modern packaging. Blend-wise, the Casa Carrillo Sumatra cigar boasts an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over a double binder of Nicaraguan and Honduran leaf, with fillers from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. Available here as a 5 x 50 Robusto, Casa Carrillo's Sumatra is a sophisticated, medium-bodied cigar.
