For those who love pipes and want to take a more hands-on approach, our briar pipe kits are the perfect way to get your feet wet in the world of pipe making*. Now the same approach is offered for those interested in morta. Featuring a block of morta and a straight, vulcanite stem, this pre-drilled piece will allow you to make your own pipe from the unique heat-resistant medium with some simple tools.
*Do not make pipes with wet feet. You could slip and fall.Note: These kits are not photographed individually, so the morta block you receive will have some noticeable differences compared to the one pictured here.

UPDATE: Made my first cuts today...Morta is hard...had to use a metal blade but starting to look like a pipe..
UPDATE: OK I've been using a small saw and files. Slow going but getting a nice shape. Morta = Rock Wood...stone like quality that although tough to shape should come out nice.
UPDATE: The stummel is complete...I'm adding a long l shaft to contrast the morta...it's going to come out very nice...but I will never work with morta again...it's quality but it's hard as stone...using all hand tools...Read More
