This is a great blend! At first, I was hesitant about ordering it. The label says, "A delight for the seasoned pipe smoker," which made me think it was one of those mixtures that would melt you teeth and make your tongue feel like burned bacon. Instead, this is a real beauty to enjoy any time of the day. Very balanced with the Latakia and Perique adding depth to a rich smoking experience. I like aromatics sometimes, but Balkan Mixture is flavored with only real tobacco--for those smokers who have gone beyond wanting smokes to taste/smell like bubble gum. They had to change the name from Balkan Delight because it contained the word "light". It's not a true Balkan, lacking any oriental tobacco. But that doesn't mean it's bad, it's actually very good. Not a flavor bomb or a Lat bomb, it's an extremely smooth blend, lots of smokey notes, very mellow VA base with definite perique spice not everyone will appreciate.
