Basically, uncut Navy Flake, same price & weight...Navy Plug is easily sliced for your choice of cut, burley, Virginias and Cavendish with a dash of rum.
A nice rich blend.

I have a love-hate relation with this tobacco. First, I must concede that I do not possess the refined palate of other reviewers. Therefore I am unable to discern the interplay of the various component tobaccos. All I am able to provide is whether I like the tobacco or not and why. This tobacco has a thoroughly wonderful flavor; hay or grass, spice (maybe cinnamon) and a subtle sweetness that does not seem to come from a flavoring and dissipates slightly as the tobacco dries out. Also it lacks the "bite" so characteristic of other Mac Baren's Cavendish blends I have tried. I could smoke this blend all day, every day. The "hate" component is that I do not like the plug cut. Evidently unlike the others that have tried this blend, I find it difficult to rub out (I try the same method as I use with Flakes), to pack in my pipe, and to light. Granted, I've never tried a plug cut before so PLEASE tell me what I'm doing wrong! I so want to love, love this tobacco!...Read More
