You can taste the sweetness but its just a touch. It really goes well with a single malt scotch. It is named happy hour after all. It burns really well and the room note is outstanding.

Let me say this is the finest ribbon cut I've seen from C&D in a long while. The cut allows it to be packed easily and burns completely. Upon first light you get the sweetness from the Cavendish and the Virginias with a strong Perique spice when exhaling through the nose tasting a lot like a VaPer.<br>Soon the sweetness dissapears and the Latakia shows up with the Orientals coming and going by adding a slight pleasant sourness. Slowly the Perique blends in and disappears, remaining a background player.
Eventually the Orientals start to take the lead and becomes the dominant tobacco with a nice woodiness till the end of the bowl.
I'd put this as mild in the nicotine department with medium taste and a light/medium English blend....Read More
