Searching for glory in my wishlist
I used to enjoy Dominican Glory Maduro - DGM- from McClelland, and went about searching reviews for something with cigar leaf. Aside from Robusto hitting all my favorite checkpoints: Va, Latakia, orientals, and GL Pease on the tin; the maduro leaf is not only detectable, but in sufficient strength to give a discreet cigar note to the smoke, and an overall strength. The supporting Orientals give a light tang that become more detectable on the retrohale as I work my way down the bowl - very enjoyable. This is a satisfyingly stout tobacco that scratches that DGM itch quite well for me, hold the ketchup.

Balanced Latakia / Oriental sans Perique
Balkan mixtures must be experienced one after the other as they are as much different as they are the same. Try many, and you'll find your fav. This is a great one; it's my number 1...I buy it in bulk. I've smoked many Balkan blends, and this one gets the oriental spice just right. When I smoke Levant, I tend to get lost in the experience. Strong words, but this stuff just sends me.
