Cornell & Diehl - Eight State Burley 2oz
I was blown away!
2024 is the only year I have had, but I am so glad I purchased a few tins. Clean burn to the bottom of the bowl, only had to relight when I sat the pipe down. An all day smoke to be sure, but I will have to limit myself since it will likely be gone soon sadly.
Seattle Pipe Club - Virginia Jazz 2oz
Virginia Jazz or Vinegar Jazz?
Tin note is pleasant, figgy/citrusy and a bit earthy. Came at the perfect moisture level, lit easily and required minimal relights. However this is were my positive experiences ended with this blend. I am not a stranger to vinegar tastes in blends, however this was something different. For almost 3/4 of the bowl, the entire flavor of the smoke was strictly that of sour vinegar. The perique was non existent to me, and any grassy/hay notes from the Virginias only emerged as I neared the end of the bowl. I powered through hoping I would either smoke past this taste and get some of the perique but I was sadly mistaken. Hopefully this improves with age since at $25 a pop I struggle to justify tossing it outright.

Feel like a shrewd judge!
Simple yet not lacking flavor or enjoyment. I have been ruminating on this blend for a while now. I have tried it in several pipes, different times of day, and even took it on vacation. This is an all day smoke, at least my ideal all day smoke. The note right out of tin is a delightful grassy citrus and honestly carries to the smoke fairly well. Not a hint of tongue bite and smokes through the bowl with minimal relights. OGS will certainly be lining my cellar for years to come.
Three Nuns - Three Nuns 1.75oz
Delightful Smoke!
Prominent Dark Fired Kentucky, which I am a huge fan of. I know this is not the original blend, however I love perique as well so I imagine my review would remain much the same but praising the perique as opposed to the DFK. Regardless, minimal relights with no issues through the entire bowl. Perfect for a cool summer evening!
Presbyterian - Presbyterian 50g
Pretty Good
Bought two tins, with one being a cellar. Solid English with minimal relights. It was however, dare I say, a it bland? I am going to dry some for a later bowl as it was a bit moist, hopefully I will come back with an amended review after I can coax some more out of it.

My Favorite Aromatic
Wow, an amazing smoke with virtually no tongue-bite. As soon as I opened the can I was hit with an absolutely mouthwatering sweet cherry liquor scent. I thought I was either right in the perfect moisture zone, but leaned a bit to the wetter side, so you may need to let it stand for a bit before smoking. Until the end of the bowl it was a smooth smoke and was able to coax out some of the chocolate notes on my second bowl. Hopefully it comes back in stock soon because I definitely want to pick up a few more tins!
Seattle Pipe Club - Plum Pudding 2oz
Decent but Do Not Understand the Hype
As my title says, it was a pretty enjoyable smoke. A bit dry out of the package, but a cool smoke with a good Latakia forward taste. Maybe I expected a bit more of a revolutionary experience after hearing so many sing its praises, but certainly not unpleasant. I will probably try the reserve at some point to see if it leaves me a bit more impressed.
Cornell & Diehl - Bayou Morning Flake 2oz
Very Enjoyable Smoke
Certainly perique forward, but never felt overwhelmed by the taste. Solid VaPer overall.
Peterson - Nightcap 50g
Converted me to non-aromatics
Feels redundant to restate what everyone else here has said time and time again. This blend is great. Personally, it was my step out of aromatics, and I haven't looked back. Do yourself a favor and pick up some Nightcap with your next order.
