Cornell & Diehl - Briar Fox 8oz
If American OTC blends had a top shelf...this would be it
Reminds me a little of Half and Half, Carter Hall and Prince Albert but with a much, much higher quality of tobacco and processing. But as you get through the bowl, it gets spicy, almost like it had a touch of perique in there. Spicy like black pepper. The spice comes in strong and then mellows out some throughout the last third of the bowl. The cake is super easy to rub out, and I recommend rubbing a bunch out, so the tobacco has more time to dry out in the tin. There is a slight topping that I can taste but it is super pleasant and not overpowering at all. Zero bite. As an English blend smoker, I like to have something in my rotation that is more palatable on the nose of others for when I am smoking in crowded places. This would be a perfect blend to fit that need. I have added it to my rotation.

Best Virginia Blend There Is
This is my favorite VA blend. Been smoking it for years now. Super complex and flavorful with absolutely zero bite. Gets better as you smoke it. Surprisingly good at first light and has you looking forward to that last third of the bowl. I love English blends and deep flavors, and this is the only VA blend that I've found to fill the void and that doesn't kill your tongue.

Smoky goodness
I received this tin with my purchase of, yet another, Peterson pipe and I cannot stress enough how much I love this blend. Not sure if it will be released for purchase on here or not or if it's just an incentive for buying a new pipe but I will def keep me eye out for it. It is so smoky and cool smoking and leaves an intense flavor residue on the pallet. This tin will not last long as it has temporarily pushed my beloved Billy Bud to the side to make way for Fireside Fable.

I've been smoking this for many years, and it still tastes and smokes as good as ever. I never got a chance to smoke from the original blender but did smoke many tins after STG took over in the 2,000's. Rich and full bodied that leaves a pleasing note on your pallet for a while after the ember has faded.

One of my all time Favorites
I'm never without this blend in my rotation. It is the perfect all-day English, in my opinion. I usually don't like the addition of flavorings in my tobacco, but this one is an exception. Not sure what it is but it's very subtle and mysterious and just works beautifully here.

Peterson - Early Morning Pipe 50g
Classic
Can't go wrong with this one. I've smoked it for over a decade now and is still a constant in my rotation. Best tin lid design ever too!
