Three Nuns - Three Nuns 1.75oz
Excellent tobacco
We spend our money as we see fit. None of us work for free. We ask to be paid what we think we're worth. Would you spend $500 plus on a Dunhill and then whine about the price of tobacco? I like three nuns for the nutty, earthy woody, maybe dark chocolate taste. I would buy it again. But don't spend money you don't have, on things you don't need, to impress people you don't like and you'll be fine.

Cornell & Diehl - Old Joe Krantz Blue Label 2oz
King of the Codgers?
Old Joe is a sophisticated codger I must say. If you like Burley blends this is a good one. Fill your corn cob and press on geezer.

Cornell & Diehl - Stovepipe 2oz
Pleasant and comforting smoke
I usually shy away from blends that contain perique but I'm glad I didn't pass this one up. The tin note smells like Kailua liquor to me, nice. The perique is in the background somewhere and I don't notice it on the retrohale so don't shy away from this easy going and relaxing tobacco. I'm glad I didn't pass it by.

Cornell & Diehl - Opening Night 2oz
Excellent Virginia
Very smooth and flavorful. Super easy to prepare kind of soft,light and burns well anyway you stuff it in the bowl. If you like Virginia tobacco don't hesitate to hold congress with this leaf.

Cornell & Diehl - Briar Fox 2oz
Real tobacco flavor
If your present favorite is Captain Black or similar you probably won't like the fox. If you like Pegasus or Old Joe blue I bet you'd appreciate this tobacco. If you do give it a try and it's not your thing jar up the whole cake and try it next year. I believe our taste in tobacco is a dynamic experience. I know my preference changed over time. Happy smoking!

HU - Indaba 100g
Handmade and Unique
Indaba is smooth creamy and flavorful. Perfect moisture and excellent right out of the tin. This tobacco will find a permanent place in my rotation. It's a good thing I don't like all tobacco this much, I'd be a penniless tobacco hoarder.

Peter Stokkebye - PS402 Luxury Twist Flake
One of the best Virginia's
I am very impressed with this Virginia flake tobacco. I've been enjoying several Virginia's lately and it's turning out to be my tobacco of choice. I find Luxury to be smooth and flavorful and enjoyable anytime I smoke it. Don't hesitate to hold congress with this leaf if you like Virginia's don't miss this one.

Larsen - 1864 Perfect Mixture 100g
Surprised after letting it age a bit
I smoked this out of a fresh tin and I wasn't impressed so I jarred it up with Boveda packs and ignored it. Now almost a year later I can't get enough of it. I mostly enjoy virginia flake and some burley tobaccos. Glad I was patient and let it mature some. Pipe smoking is definitely a journey and a learning experience.

Rattray's - The Good Deal (163) (6mm)
The Real Deal
This is my 4th Rattray pipe and I'm very happy with each one of them. Nice fit and finish on this pipe like all Rattray's. It even came with a pipe sock in a nice box with a 6mm charcoal filter. I paid twice as much for a new Kaywoodie Super Grain and it arrived in bubble wrap, no sock or box. I like the Rattray's style, even their quirky names for their products is cool. So for a little more $ than a basket pipe you get a real quality pipe that's way better than a good deal, I'd say it's a damn good deal.

Davidoff - Scottish Mixture 50g
Great smoking tobacco fresh out of the tin
Opened fresh tin to find perfect moisture content and cut. Burns well with minimal delights, mild and flavorful tobacco without alot of toppings/casings. Would buy again.

Old German Clay - Bishop and Knight
Cracks in bowl
I hate to write a bad review but here we go. I received the package with no external damage and the clay pipe wrapped in a generous amount of bubble wrap so I think the damage was there when it was shipped. 2 obvious vertical cracks one a half inch long and wide enough to see light through. I thought of returning it but it's a 9 dollar pipe, not worth the shipping cost. So that's my first and last clay pipe. I'll stick with briar and cob as they never disappoint. This is the only product I've received from Smokingpipes.com that wasn't a great product and I will continue to patronize them without a doubt. Check them clay pipes before you ship them please. Update: I got tired of wondering how this pipe would smoke so being ignorant about clay I resorted to the familiar and mixed up a tiny bit of drywall mud. LOL it worked fairly well and I'm on my third bowl of Navy Flake. I'm not sure how it will last but I got my pleasure from it so far.

Mac Baren - Navy Flake 3.5oz
Love at first puff
A real full flavored tobacco, mild and easy smoking. I enjoyed the tobacco from the first bowl while some in my rotation I had to ease into, maybe let it age a bit, Navy Flake and I are getting along fine. Burley heaven.

Molina - Alba Smooth Dark Brown (MV4) (9mm)
Value beyond price
This is my second Molina pipe and a third is probable. This pipe feels good in hand at over 2 ounces that's a good thing as it's hefty, but it smokes beautifully and looks bold. Comfort is a warm briar.

Molina - Ambra Smooth (P61) (9mm)
Handsome workhorse at a reasonable price
I think Molina pipes are a very nice product at a very reasonable price. A good looker and a fine smoking pipe, I would buy another at this price point they're a value.
