Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation - Evening Flake
Strangely familiar
If you remember The Mallard flake w/perique from Dan Tobacco, this blend is VERY similar to it, i suspect they use the same Rhodesian VAs that DTM is known for. Excellent quality leaf, expertly blended; clean brights with no casings or toppings and a generous dose of perique. Good looking flakes, ready to be smoked right off the bag. To me, a fan of the Ol' Mallard, this is my new go-to daily and therefore i'm giving it 5 stars

Rattray's - Devil's Cut 'G' Sandblasted Brown (130) (9mm)
Unique
Okay first things first, the pipe looks amazing.... if a comically large bowl is something you're into. In terms of practicality: it's heavy, 4oz to be precise. It can be clenched for sure but not for long. The "G" system aka graphite wall (the reason why i bought it) has 2 major pros and a major con in my opinion. The pros: cleaning the bowl is as easy as it gets and not having a carbon layer makes it an ideal condidate for a pocket pipe, no carbon layer = no lingering odor. It also means that it won't ghost! Great stuff, now the con: moisture!!! The G wall cannot absord any of it, so naturally it all ends up traveling down the shank. The Savinelli balsa filters mitigate a lot of it, in the expense however of a more constricting draw. Overall i like it and i use it daily
