Sandblasted Oversized Bent Brandy with Horn Tobacco Pipe

"Oversized" is no understatement when it comes to describing this elephantine Brandy from skilled carver Lasse Skovgaard. Seemingly capable of swallowing several ounces of tobacco, this piece borders on the sculptural, both in size and with Lasse's choice in shaping and finish. Covered in a tight, crisp sandblast, this iteration of the Brandy shape is quite bolder-like with more rounded lines and a higher waist than we are accustomed to seeing. To contrast the adamantine character of the bowl, Lasse elected to accent the shank with a creamy, softly shaped horn accent, making a balanced presentation of opposites.
