About This Pipe
I'm quite fond of the Canoe, one of Silver Gray's signature designs. With its teardrop line at both fore and aft of the rim, following through the entirety of the bowl and shank alike, it readily evokes the appearance of its namesake's keel. In profile, this piece is a touch more sleek than some others we've seen, thanks in no small part to its smooth finish — where others we've seen have been sandblasted, presenting a rugged appearance, this piece has been finished in a smooth, dark contrast stain, with its vibrant licks of flame grain bringing to mind the image of a densely-packed forest landscape.
