Smooth Eskimo Egg Tobacco Pipe

Here we find one of Silver's signature shapes, the Eskimo Egg. It is as you may have guessed by the name a hybrid of the traditional bent Egg, and the Eltang Eskimo (which itself was Tom's reinterpretation of the old Sixten Ivarsson Ukulele). Bowl-wise Silver has kept the form in this example traditional, making for a playful match to the very broad diamond shank that meets it in a tight transition. The choice of a diamond shank for this shape-concept was a good one, as it allowed Silver to go wide with the cross-section's proportions (not much shy of being the same width of the bowl) without interfering with a comfortable feel in hand, the angles of the panels keeping out of the way of a thumb wrapped around the rear face of the bowl. Also I have to note that this shape definitely pairs well to a brindled vulcanite stem, in this case a more vibrant variation on the traditional cumberland.
