About This Pipe
Italian artisan Claudio Cavicchi boasts over 50 years of pipe-making experience and possesses an uncanny talent for bringing out the very best from a block of briar. His portfolio is full of evocative interpretations of classic shapes, and he is known by many artisans to have some of the best grain in the world, with even his non-graded pipes rivaling the top-tier pieces of other workshops.
This bent Dublin from Cavicchi is a hearty take on the classic shape, and features an undulating rim that immediately draws the eye. The thick-walled bowl dominates the composition, taking on a self-assured forward cant as it perches at the fore of a thick, subtly tapering shank that offers ample room to drape a digit. A concise saddle stem tops off the composition, its gently downturned bit offering a comfortable smoking posture. Dressed in Cavicchi's signature Brown Smooth finish, the stummel showcases a wealth of handsome grain.
