Smooth Paneled Bent Dublin (L2) (B) (Maxima) Tobacco Pipe

Ser Jacopo was founded in the 1980s by legendary pipe maker Giancarlo Guidi. The workshop cultivated their signature Pesaro style, which delights in dramatic flourishes and whimsical stylings, even more so than the already playful Italian tradition. Unfortunately, Guidi passed away in 2012, but Ser Jacopo carries on his legacy. The bowl of this Maxima-stamped bent Dublin by Ser Jacopo is informed by an octagonal pattern of eight panels on its dramatically flared bowl, giving this pipe a robust feel in the hand, even though the flanks are slightly pinched. These panels frame streaks of flame grain on the thick, insulating walls reaching through the domed rim. A sweeping transition flows into a round shank, further showcasing the workshop's superb line work, which even extends onto the bent, tapered stem. This combination places the length of this Dublin at just under eight inches — making for a striking piece of Italian craftsmanship.
