About This Pipe
I'm inclined to say this Dublin is my favorite in this batch of Scottie Piersel pipes, with its long ultra-slim shank and stem combination giving way to a poised, almost floral bowl. The result is something of a stylized, minimalist take on the Belge, lent an additional pastoral charm via a light-depth sandblast, accentuating a very tightly-stacked display of ring-grain. Said ring-grain terminates in a rim packed with contrast-stained birdseye, balanced a little by the long, tapered green-blue brindle-pattern stem. Scottie takes great pride in her stemwork, and this handsomely-patterned number is just the ticket for this briar.
