Sandblasted Bent Billiard with Bamboo Tobacco Pipe

Though on the surface a robust, classical rendition, there's more to this bent Billiard than meets the eye. Diving deeper, there are some distinct stylistic cues which can be traced back to the Danish and Japanese schools, with a noticeable touch of American influence as well. The low-sitting visual weight and firm aesthetic of the bowl point to the Danish, and while the same could be said of this one's fusion to two knuckles of pale bamboo, the way that Scott has utilized it speaks more to the Japanese penchant for 'balanced asymmetry' than it does to the Danish fondness for clean-lined compositions which see the medium continue, say, an already initiated curve in profile. The same could be said for the sandblast: the method used here is of the craggier, rougher variety (characteristic of the American school) than the traditional, lightly-textured Danish aesthetic. The chamber is spacious, roughly a Group 4, meaning this one should provide some good-length smokes, while the bamboo shank should assure that they are dry ones. Nice work from Scott here.
