About This Pipe
A unique take on the Prince shape, this piece from Michael Parks combines elements of the Tomato and Lumberman. It makes for an incredibly elegant form, the bulb of a bowl perched on the end of the elongated shank. Parks has kept said shank quite slender, pencil-like even, resulting in a piece whose weight belies its almost six inches of length. Dressed in one of Michael's renowned sandblasts, craters of birdseye mingle with vertically inclined grooves all across the bowl and shank. The shank-end, then, features a horn mount fitted to one of the most expertly crafted stems I've ever seen, rendered from quite a unique rod of brindled vulcanite. On the whole, the mouthpiece is impossibly diminutive yet without a hint of fragility, its unassuming nature sure to provide unparalleled comfort.
