Sandblasted Bulldog with Muskox and Amberoid Tobacco Pipe

A sharp and firm-bodied take on the Bulldog from Manduela, this piece is one of a number of such designs we've seen. With a crisp heel, sharp diamond shank, and high-set bead lines, it makes for a piece that seems high-reaching despite its petite size, and packs a lot of detail into such a compact package. As far as the stummel, it's been finished in an ultra-dark sandblast, its well-textured surface offering plenty of stimulating feel in hand, as well as pairing splendidly with the dual materials of its stem. There, pale and smoky muskox horn is paired with amberoid, a material made from resins compressed with high heat to give an amber-like appearance, while in the process giving it a charming, swirled appearance. Quite a neat piece.
