About This Pipe
Kai Nielsen, son of Viggo Nielsen, founder of the Bari pipe factory, entered the world of pipe making in his teen years when he began working part-time at his father's factory. At the age of 21, he became a full-time employee — but that was just the beginning. Today, after years of honing his craft, he's a respected artisan with an impressive portfolio and is known for his refined, classically Danish carving style.
This Brandy showcases the artisan's refined style, with the Brandy bowl displaying reserved shaping and perched atop a sleek, streamlined shank-and-stem arrangement. The stummel wears a smooth, chestnut-stained finish that perfectly complements the warm brown hue of the cumberland stem to which it's paired. The junction between stem and stummel is accented by a trim accent band that adds a pop of brightness to the piece's otherwise rich, deep color palette.
