Partially Sandblasted Blowfish with Oak Wood (1826) Tobacco Pipe

This Blowfish is much livelier than the streamlined, airplane fuselage-like fellow we last received from the carver, though its certainly no less impressive. It maintains a similar sense of gesture to that aforementioned number, with a tightly-curving line at the underside, though there's seemingly more implied motion in this case, with a stronger sense of leftward listing, along with a more pronounced sense of organic shaping. It boasts a slight fin-like upward-flick to the shank's end, emphasized by the soft shaping at play there, juxtaposed with the crisp linework dominating the rest of the form. Indeed, Jared employed a series of tight lines to visually divide dark sandblasted briar from smooth-polished regions, unveiling a wealth of birdseye, not to mention the lightest freckling of plateau on the right flank.
